Project Description:
The South Flank project located in the Pilbara region, Western Australia will include an 80 million tonne per year crushing and screening plant, an overland conveyor system and rail loading facilities, replacing the Yandi mine which is nearing the end of its economic life.
Monadelphous was awarded a contract with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (Australia) for the construction of a reclaimer and two stackers at BHP’s South Flank Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Scope of Work:
Structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (SMPE&I) works associated with the assembly of a reclaimer and two stackers at BHP’s South Flank Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The machines have a capacity of 20,000 tonnes per hour, making them the world’s largest rail-mounted stackers and reclaimers.
