  • Jonathan
    Role in Company:
    Project Engineer

    Jonathan was involved in Mondium’s biggest project from start to finish, getting insights into both design and construction, right through to commissioning – not an opportunity that many graduates get to experience.  There have been many highlights for Jonathan during his time at Mondium, including gaining an understanding of the quality management process, commissioning dossiers on-site and being involved in the full contractual close out of a project.  I enjoy the collective capability that Mondium offers – an EPC style job brings together dynamic work groups with different people and ideas to execute large-scale projects.

  • Schalk
    Role in Company:
    Project Manager

    Joining Mondium in 2018 as a Senior Project Engineer, Schalk comes from a family of engineers. Taking after his father, him and his siblings all became qualified mechanical engineers.  Originally from Cape Town, he started his career in Johannesburg and has worked in various locations across Southern Africa gaining project and study experience in mineral sands, diamonds and rubies from design to construction – his favourite location being Mozambique because it’s so wild and rugged. Over the years, Schalk has enjoyed being involved in all our significant projects and seeing Mondium’s continued growth. He has made some good friends along the way and being immersed in our team has given him the full Aussie cultural experience.  At Mondium we have a constructive and pragmatic culture.  A constructive culture is all about collaboration and the success of the team; while a pragmatic culture focuses on being dynamic and delivering to meet customer needs. The team are flexible and not afraid to take on tasks outside of their job description to deliver. At Mondium I believe integrity and capability sit side by side.

    Role in Company:
    Senior Project Accountant

    Working at Mondium has given her exposure to the biggest project she has worked on in her career to date, this has allowed her the opportunity to explore new aspects of the resources industry.  One of her favourite things about working at Mondium is meeting a diverse group of people who she now calls her friends. Working on site they were able to work collaboratively, exercise and socialise together – making great memories. At Mondium, as a team we’re able to work on big and dynamic projects, but still manage to maintain the feeling of a close-knit team environment. For us, it’s all about working together – everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand.
