Project Description:
The Greenbushes Lithium Operations are located directly south and immediately adjacent to the town of Greenbushes in Western Australia. It has two processing plants, one producing technical-grade (TG) lithium concentrates and one producing chemical-grade (CG) lithium concentrate. Ore containing Li2O is fed into the processing plants which upgrade the lithium mineral, using gravity, heavy media, flotation and magnetic processes, into a range of lithium concentrates for bulk or bagged shipment.
The Chemical Grade Plant 1 (CGP1) Feed System Project encompasses the engineering design, construction and commissioning of a new CG stockpile reclaim and plant feed system to the existing chemical grade (CG) plant. The works included the procurement, installation and interface of a slewing radial stacker fed from a new contract crushing facility established on-site.
Scope of Work:
Mondium delivered the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover of the new chemical grade stockpile reclaim and plant feed system to the existing chemical grade plant. The scope included managing all construction disciplines onsite, from the concrete civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works and plant shutdown, with brownfield tie-in works also completed to an existing substation and transfer tower to connect the new plant feed system.
The works included the procurement, installation and interface of a slewing radial stacker fed from a new contract crushing facility established onsite.
