Following the successful completion of the Marandoo Mine Phase 2 Project Definitive Engineering Study (DES), Lycopodium was awarded the EPCM contract for the development of the Marandoo Mine Phase 2 for Rio Tinto Iron Ore through the Implementation Phase.

Pyromet structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) package of work, as well as associated piping fabrication for Albemarle’s lithium hydroxide plant.

Between January 2008 and May 2009, Lycopodium provided process engineering services to KBR during the Preliminary Engineering Study (PES) and Definitive Engineering Study (DES) for the $400M+ project. Lycopodium key rail personnel were also involved in the design of the rail line from feasibility, scoping and definition design to a level of detail sufficient to provide a +/- 15% cost estimate for the project.

The T3 Cleaner Circuit Project scope of work includes the procurement and supply of equipment and materials to site, installation, construction, provision of labour, supervision, testing and commissioning for various areas. This includes the installation of cleaner cells and associated hoppers, pumps, pipework in the existing T3 Flotation Building. In addition, the installation of a Regrind mill (Vertimill) including automated ball charging system, cyclones, gravity concentrator and associated hoppers, Concentrate Thickening and Tails Thickener Overflow (Process Water) occurred.

Lycopodium has been working on this project since 2007 when a number of scoping reports and reviews were undertaken. In late 2009 Lycopodium commenced work on the Preliminary Engineering Study, followed by the Definitive Engineering Study which was completed in December 2011. In January 2012 Lycopodium, in joint venture with URS Australia, was awarded the EPCM contract for infrastructure on the project.

The Cobre Panama Project involves the mining of three open pits which will be processed by crushing, grinding, flotation recovery and concentrate dewatering at a rate of 85 Mtpa.

Structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (SMPE&I) works associated with the construction of the Gudai-Darri iron ore project.

Structural, mechanical, piping (SMP) works associated with the Shaft 2 Surface Facilities on the Oyu Tolgoi project includes: - Installation of the new shaft 1 mine air heater and fan facility - Shaft 2 chiller facility, east collar house, west collar house, south collar house SMP works - Shaft 2 mine air heater fan facility - Shaft 2 conveyor - Shaft 5 exhaust fan construction - Surface fuel facility construction - Surface shotcrete facility construction - Shaft 2 dewatering facilities - Heat distribution system
